Packet loss compensation over wireless networked using an optimized FOPI-FOPD controller for nonlinear system

Wireless networked control systems (WNCS) consist of an actuator, sensor, and controller communicating over wireless networks in place traditional point-to-point wired connection. Due to their main advantages, a decrease maintenance costs, more flexibility, safety could be achieved. As result, it attracted great deal interest, but packet losses time delays the network through transmitting receiving data are considered very challenging issues, which impair output accuracy WNCS can affect entire system stability. In this study, integer-order proportional integral-proportional derivative (PI-PD) fractional-order PI-PD (FOPI-FOPD) controllers proposed reduce effect expected loss improve performance. At high percent, PI is introduced act as compensator feed-forward loop keep stable. MATLAB/Simulink Truetime simulator used simulate WNCS. The rotary inverted pendulum (RIP) utilized object controllers. Grey wolf optimization (GWO) algorithm find optimal parameters. simulation results showed that FOPI-FOPD superior compensation.
